I would like to congratulate you all for Staying home and Staying safe.

We are indeed in very extraordinary times, needing the cooperation of everyone, to keep our families and loved ones healthy during this difficult period.

I’m reaching out to you all and letting you know, the team at Ray White is working from home. Providing e-ppraisals, market updates, online calls and advice as needed for yourselves and family members looking to buy and sell during 2020.

What is an e-ppraisal? We’re adapting to the changing times and in doing so, I am still able to provide you with and Current Market Appraisal of your property. Using a few more online tools Ray White has in it’s toolbox for us and a conversation with you, I will be able to complete an e-ppraisal and email it to you during the lockdown.

Virtual Inspections? Yes! Listings are still available to view and offers can still be made. How? Before the lockdown I was able to take some video footage of properties to share with buyers. Also, we can still present offers via email to our vendors using the appropriate clauses and time frames of all conditions during the lockdown.

Banks and Mortgage Brokers at the ready! Yes, as we have seen in the news, banks have come to the party with mortgage holiday plans and new interest rates. If you need to seek some advice about your own mortgage and not sure where to start, please do get in touch. I am working with our Loan Market brokers on a daily base. This is a free service to you.

Carrying on from the strong finish of December 2019, the property market has continued to do well in the first quarter of 2020. Activity levels and attendees at open homes during February and March were excellent. I noticed an increase in private viewing during this time, as many buyers had missed out on a property, they were quick to react to any new listings. This month, with buyers at home, researching the market and viewing properties online more, we are receiving strong interest on all current listings.

Lockdown Activities

The weather has been great! Prior to lockdown, many people took the opportunity in the last few days to stock up on DIY items, as reported on  Stuff.co.nz.

Meaning, many kiwis will take this time to renovate, paint or simply attend to those job’s that were on the “Round-to-it” list. This will either mean, the now happy wife will continue a happy life with the family and stay at their current property another year or two.

OR, for many it is decision time to look at upsizing their home or for some to downsize. If this is the case for yourself, please do get in touch, I will be on hand to assist you with your next property move.

You might have thought that the property market was on hold during the lockdown, but determined buyers, sellers and agents are finding a way to move forward with their plans to buy and sell property. Since lockdown began (ss Reported on https://www.oneroof.co.nz/)

  • Over 1,000 properties have been listed for sale on OneRoof
  • Of those, 48% were in Auckland, 9% in Canterbury, 8% in Bay of Plenty, and the rest around New Zealand.

I’ve also posted some quick FAQ’s below to answer some of the more common questions coming through at the moment, if you can’t find your answer there, feel free to reach out to me.

What’s happening in your area?

To keep you all up to date on what’s going on around the area, I’m sending you April’s market Snapshots for both Tuakau and Pukekohe.

Stay Safe Stay Well, from team Bree Cameron Ray White
